The "A Brush With History" show opening reception will be September 18th, from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Columbia Art Center, 6100 Foreland Garth, Columbia, MD and will be a part of the annual Howard County "Road to the Arts" event. The show runs from September 15th to October 17th. The show will be the fifty paintings that were done last year in celebration of the 250th birthday of Historic Ellicott City, and is also an EC250 sponsored event. The frames were all made to reflect the content of each painting and are made from recycled materials, children's blocks, Lincoln Logs, tiles, glass marbles and lots of other interesting materials.
This is likely the last time to see all fifty paintings together. I am looking for a public, permanent place to display the entire group, but if that does not happen in the next year, they will be sold to different collectors.
The opening reception for the show at the Columbia Art Center will be on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 1 to 3.
